This is a great deal for someone in the market for a viola as I had purchased the instrument (violin is my specialty) to expand my musical horizons- I decided to stick with the violin only. The Otto Benjamin MA-300 viola outfit (2015) offers the advancing player an instrument hand-crafted from quality tonewoods. The MA-300C features a select aged spruce top coupled with highly flamed select aged maple back and sides. The beauty of this viola body is complemented with a multi-layered spirit varnish and all-rosewood fittings. The instrument is finished with genuine hand-inlaid ebony purfling and a quality ebony fingerboard. The MA-300 also features a Despiau bridge and D™Addario Helicore strings. Set-up and adjusted in an affiliated U.S. workshop, this outfit comes complete with a an A. Eastman bow and an Eastman oblong case Model 1812 with black exterior and red interior. Pegs, fingerboard and bridge in excellent, like new condition as it has been lovingly played and cared for by a professional musician who appreciates the craftsmanship of this beautiful piece.
