    Description

Beautiful moriage humidor made in Japan with Te-oh Nippon hand painted mark.  With the Nippon marking we are talking about something imported into the US from Japan between 1891 and 1921.  That makes this piece a true antique.  The details are quite breathtaking on all surfaces. Note the sponge area inside the cover.
It is in very good condition for age but it is not perfect.  There are cracks on the bottom of the piece that I tried to photograph in the last picture above.  There are also areas where the moriage accents and design details have a bit of wear--it is 100 yrs.+ old after all.  I left the hand written and taped note on the bottom since someone in the history of this piece felt it important enough to "will" it to a nephew, Donald Gunderson. It adds to the charm and history of the piece.
From the base to top of the handle on the cover, the humidor stands 6.75" tall.  The body of the piece is a rectangular 4" x 5".  The bottom part has an inside depth of 4.5".
