This unique antique piece comes from a local foundry mold clean out.  It is very heavy/solid and constructed from a beautifully grained wood with an interior wheel-shape done in a resin or bakelite-like plastic.  The outside measures about 14 1/2" square and has a 3 1/2" depth (front to back).
