This is a beautiful
gold gilded Antique Nippon
Noritake vase with hand painted poppy floral designs.
The vase is
7.5 inches
tall by
5.5 inches
wide,  handle to handle
The vase has two handles and an 8 pointed oval opening at the top.
It is decorated with gold gilded designs and gold beading on a mild ivory tone background.
The beading and heavy gold floral designs are in high relief.
Underneath there is a blue/green "Hand Painted Noritake Nippon" mark on the bottom.
There is an
M
in the wreath, which stood for
Morimura
,  their namesake.
This was used between
1911-1921
.
Incredible condition - no nicks or chips.
Age related wear to the gilding of the handles, and rim.
This has been in the family for decades.
